| Summary | 0000712: One-line text file with CR reported as "no line terminators" | ||||
| Description | A one-line ASCII text file that ends with a carriage-return should, I would think, be reported as "with CR line terminators". But instead, 'file' reports "no line terminators". | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Using the attached test files with v5.46: $ file cr1.txt cr2.txt cr1.txt: ASCII text, with no line terminators cr2.txt: ASCII text, with CR line terminators v5.44 gets it right: $ file cr1.txt cr2.txt cr1.txt: ASCII text, with CR line terminators cr2.txt: ASCII text, with CR line terminators | ||||
